Semantic Post-It

'SemanticPostIt is a configurable memo interface that augments the memos around us with digital information and knowledge and lets us use any memos to interact with that information near its context of Post-it memo.

We have used the Post-It memo such that the sticky memo is useful to be located anywhere possibly inside of meaningful context where the owner remembers the memo. It helps people express their idea and statement freely. But it is not easy to organize the memos with the owners behavioral and information context. If the computer and knowledge systems are able to recognize their needs, clusters of such relevant memos with their contexts could make a consistent story generated. The story means about what the user wanted to express at that time with a relevant intention in their mind implicitly or explicitly. Note that it is for some person somewhat difficult to write a story to express their idea on scattered memos. Even if they are well trained to write a good story, it takes time to write the whole story within a limited time duration.

OntoCloud

OntoCloud is a project to enrich the ontology using DBpedia as a pivot. Thus, for the last few years, we investigated and extracted the IT datasets using semantic web technologies and translated it into ontology such as IT-core, IT-device, IT-service and IT-life. However those ontologies have similar concepts and it is against the objective of ontology construction. We need to fix it and to develop a pivot dataset before we try to merge or map them for enabling ontology sharing and reasoning. OntoCloud defines part of the common relationships based on the Wikipedia infobox dataset from DBpedia3.4. We take and use it as a pivot to construct the dataset in the OntoCloud.

DBpedia Sysnchronization

DBpedia converts Wikipedia information into structured knowledge, and stores structured information in RDF. It can be used by Semantic Web technologies to ask sophisticated queries against Wikipedia. DBpedia reached a high-quality of the extracted information and offers datasets in 91 different languages. However, DBpedia lacks sufficient support for non-English languages. In DBpedia_Synchronization, we want to improve the DBpedia extraction from non-Latin language editions and to automatically translate information from the English DBpedia in order to complement the Korean Wikipedia.
